MasterChef Australia finale
Oh my… the drama, the intrigue, the nail-biting suspense! I don’t need to tell you what good this show has done for Australian households. A show about cooking, about tasting, about the joy of food? Pure gold! Who do you want to win? Who do you think will win? And who isn’t enamoured by the paella crust-stroking, face-contorting, gustatory poet Matt Preston?

7.30pm Channel 10
Your lounge
Dont forget you can come chat with your favourite food bloggers in our

Bankstown Bites Food Festival
This local council-fun festival is easily my favourite festival of the year. Why? The fabulous food tours! Run by council volunteers and featuring visits to welcoming local businesses, they’re a great way to find out above different cuisines, meet the people behind the counter, and taste-test lots of goodies along the way. Seven different food tours are available this year, including African, Asian, European, Middle East and a hands-on rice paper roll workshop.

Check out my pics from the festival in 2008 and 2005. Places are filling fast so make sure you register now! And ha, if you peer closely at your monitor, that’s me in the pic on the registration page during the European Eats tour in 2005.
